A new study has found that proper nutrition can reverse the biological clock and stop the aging at the cellular level.
The study, published in the journal Lancet Oncology, found that men who within a few years of life, eat right and avoid stress, increases the length of telomeres - chromosome regions that are responsible for longevity.
During the experiment, one group of 10 men to adopt plant-based diet, getting moderate exercise and meditate. The other group did not change their usual diet and lifestyle. As a result of the observations the researchers noted that after 5 years in the first group of telomere length has increased by an average of 10% (and therefore slow down the process of biological aging). In the second group, which did not change diet and physical activity, these important parts of chromosomes declined by 3%.
