 On Wednesday, June 19, a court in Milan sentenced a well-known designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, to a year and eight months in prison for tax evasion. Designers owed the Italian government about a billion euros.
The prosecution points out that, since the establishment in 2004, the Luxembourg company Dolce & Gabbana Luxemburg sarl and Gado sarl, founder of the brand Dolce & Gabbana involved in a serious distortion of the financial statements and falsification of tax documents.
Lawyer designers Massimo Nina is preparing an appeal and hopes to appeal this sentence. "Dolce and Gabbana will not go to jail, either now or at any time in the future" - said the lawyer.
Fans Dolce & Gabbana designers call to leave Italy.
