The study is published in the authoritative edition of «Annals of Internal Medicine», tests were sponsored by the NIH (National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Health, USA).
The study tested people who want to lose weight (different races, from 20 to 70 years). They were divided into 2 groups. One group followed a low-carb diet, the other "sitting" on the low-fat diet. The number of calories eaten all had about the same.
The test of the first group on average per year lost 4 kg more than those who have practiced a diet low in fat. Moreover, the people in the first group were burned in at 150 calories per day more.
