 Folk art is undoubtedly the basis of the cultural heritage of any country. For centuries, craftsmen perfected the technology of manufacturing commercial products, store and transmit faithfully the mysteries of the craft from generation to generation. Thanks to the hard laborious work of artists through the centuries to us, the inhabitants of the XXI century, came the tradition of world-renowned centers of folk art created Khokhloma and Gorodets, Gzhel and Kislovodsk porcelain, Rostov enamel, Vologda and Elets lace, Bogorodsk and White Sea wood carving, Kubachi jewelry, Kholmogorskaya and Tobolsk carved bone, and Nizhny Tagil Zhostovo painted trays, ceramics Skopinsky and Pskov, Torzhok goldwork embroidery, weapons Zlatoust and Tula craftsmen, artistic weaving and embroidery from different regions.
Muscovites and visitors have a unique opportunity to see the rich palette of folk arts and crafts on the eve of New Year and Christmas holidays. From 5 to 9 December in the pavilion №7 "Expocentre" will be held XIII specialized exhibition "BOAT. 2012 Winter's Tale. " On the area of 12 thousand square m present their exposure more than 900 organizations, crafts, artists and craftsmen from 62 regions of the Russian Federation.
Over ten years, the exhibition is traditionally held in "Expocentre", which for a few days turns into a big "craft villages". Tens of thousands of Muscovites and visitors want to come to this unique exhibition, not only to enjoy the beauty, but also buy original copyright and fishing products.
For guests of the exhibition prepared by the fascinating cultural program with the participation of professional artists and creative groups: musicians, singers, dancers, designers, artists, designers, more than 50 authors, performers and creative teams. More than 600 participants from across the country will show their art.
The first festival will take place on Russian accordion - "Russian harmony."
The fifth consecutive year the exhibition will be held the International Festival of felt "Sherstival." Designers, artists of felt, designers, craftsmen felting from Ivanovo, Moscow, Ryazan, Tver and other regions of Russia will be a daily delight visitors displays copyright models. Visitors will be able to vote for the best creative work submitted to the contest.
It will be a competition in nominations: "My dear capital" "Orthodoxy in the works of folk artists and crafts", "For the preservation of traditions of folk art," "folk toy", "folk costume", "Moscow Falconer", "The best art exhibition of fishing" .
This year, the "rook" will be a lot of new activities:
- The presentation of regions in the scenic area;
- Exhibition "Moscow Falconer" - featuring the best works of Russian folk artists on the theme of hunting;
- Craftswomen of "Torzhok zolotoshvei" will be presented the longest in history (12 meters), made all the ancient canons, a protection zone;
- Moscow International cultural-educational project "Moscow and Russia - Planet Earth" with the participation of teams from 10 countries;
- Demonstration workshops at the same time on two interactive sites "City of Masters";
- Will be the first Russian IVF BIOSALON uniting the leading Russian producers of environmentally friendly products.
Christmas tree, clowns, Santa Claus will delight visitors.
