Mayonnaise is one of those products that are most used on holidays, tucking them all kinds of salads. In the Soviet Union mayonnaise prepared for the guests, but in many cities, he was deficient, and the hostess prepared it themselves.
There are several legends about the origin of mayonnaise. And almost all of them belong to the XVIII century. One of them occurred in 1757, during the War of the island of Menorca in the Mediterranean Sea.
First, capture the capital of Menorca Mahon managed under the leadership of the French Duke de Richelieu. Soon, however, the town was besieged by the British. But Richelieu's not going to give up and to give the conquered enemy.
As the continuation of the siege of the French ended almost all products were only eggs and olive oil, of which scrambled eggs and cooked.
Fried eggs help not to starve, but there they have simply had no strength, and then a French chef Duke came up with the idea - he carefully rubbed the egg yolks with sugar and salt, and everything mixed with olive oil.
Invented the dish has delighted not only soldiers, but also the Duke of Richelieu. Thus, according to this legend, there was a world-famous sauce, named in honor of the besieged city -

Or mayonnaise.
Mayonnaise in those days were prepared by hand and made from natural products. Now, unfortunately, a lot of various additives mayonnaise. But, nevertheless, the mask from it nourish, rejuvenate the skin, give it elasticity, and with frequent use of smooth fine lines, not allowing them to develop into the deep.
The simplest mask
Fresh mayonnaise applied to cleansed face with a thick layer for 20 minutes. Then, remove the excess tissue and wash in warm decoction of parsley, but you can just warm water, and then wipe the face with ice.
Mask, moisturizing for dry and normal skin
Grate half cucumber medium, add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of mayonnaise, mix well and apply on skin for 20 minutes.
Remove with a cotton swab dipped in warm tea leaves of green tea weak.
After 5 minutes, wash with cool water.
Mask, moisturizing and whitening for oily skin
2 tbsp. tablespoons of mayonnaise mixed with 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of cucumber juice. Stir well and apply on face for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and wipe the face cucumber juice or lotion.
If the skin is very oily, porous, you can mix 2 tbsp. tablespoons of mayonnaise with 1 tbsp. lemon juice and mix the mass, put it on your face for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, wash with cool.
Nourishing mask for dry and normal skin
1 tbsp. a spoonful of mayonnaise mixed with 1 dessert spoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of sour cream, mix well and apply on face for 15-20 minutes, remove with a cotton swab soaked in chamomile tea or warm water.
For pale skin aging
Mince 1 small tomato, add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of liquid honey and 2 teaspoons of heavy cream, mix well, apply on the face with a thick layer, cover with cheesecloth, folded in half and well soaked in tea leaves of black tea.
Wash off after 15-20 minutes, swab dipped in the tea leaves of black tea and drench it the same person.
After 5 minutes, wash with water at room temperature.
If the mask to use on a regular basis, it will give the skin a light shade of tan.
Mask, smoothing wrinkles
1 tbsp. a spoonful of mayonnaise mixed with 1 egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of sour cream, mix well and apply on face 2 layers. The second strike when the first layer dries out a bit.
Wash off after 15 minutes with warm water, wash with cool.
