Research conducted at the University of South Carolina (USA). It was attended by 96 men and women who are overweight and obese. The subjects were divided into two groups. One received recommendations to reduce weight once every 2 weeks, while the other was constantly in touch with the online expert advice and the opportunity to discuss their weight loss results. The second group received all of the recommendations via Twitter applications on their mobile devices.

All study participants lost weight. However, better results were achieved for those who was constantly in touch on Twitter. The researchers even found that every 10 messages to Twitter - a weight loss of 0, 5%.

The findings give ground for thinking such experts as advisers on nutrition. Typically, they support their patients once a week when groups hold classes dieters. But it turns out, they can achieve great results in their work if they communicate with customers through social networks, giving customers interested in the results of other people, to hold consultations in the "live".
